over 30 years. Heather Maree, partnered with her mother, Pam Carroll,
took ownership in 2000. Heather has been dancing for over 25 years and
has been recognized regionally and nationally for Top Teacher and Top

2014-2015 - Student of the Year:
Madison, 16 and a junior at South Point High School, has been dancing for 13 years. When she’s not dancing, she enjoys hanging out with her friends at the lake, shopping, and going to baseball games.
Madison is a member of the Interact club, DECA club, Bible club, and an honors student. She is a member of her high school dance team and is the junior class president at South Point. Madison attends Bethlehem Church.
In the future, Madison plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and major in business. Madison hopes to continue her dance career in college by trying out for the dance team.
Madison says, “Dance allows me to express any emotion I’m feeling, from anger to joy to sadness, and it always helps me to relieve stress.” Her favorite quote is, “I dance to express not to impress.”

Recreational dancer–Student of the Year:
Andrea Brock,12 yrs old, has been a dance student with Dance Specialties for the past four years.
She is very considerate, caring and compassionate and is always willing to lend a helping hand.
She is a rising seventh grader at Belmont Middle School. She is in the school choir, enjoys soccer, basketball and is a huge Carolina Tarheel Fan! Just like all girls her age....she loves to shop. Whereever she goes she is always singing & dancing, her two biggest passions. Hip hop and Jazz are her favorites. She has not made up her mind what profession for her future but
